About Me

Hello there, my name is Winnie and welcome to my website.
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California (PSY26957) and Hawaii (PSY1501). I am a Bay Area Native and it brings me much joy to work in the community that I grew up in. I am the daughter of refugee parents who escaped their home country in search of a better life for themselves. What they have lost and sacrificed has become the foundation of my identity. I am bonded to joining and hearing people's life story- my curiosity enhances awareness in myself and others, and my devotion to making the world a better place allows me to be dedicated to every person that I encounter and serve.

My undergraduate studies took place at the University of California-Davis where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in both Psychology and Sociology. My graduate studies was at The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA where I obtained my Doctoral in Clinical Psychology.
I have been practicing in the Bay Area since 2007 serving children, adolescents, adults, and families. I am trained in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialetical Behavior Therapy) and FBT (Family Based Treatment for Eating Disorders). My style is Integrative with an emphasis on Mindfulness, Narrative, and Trauma Informed Care. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and holistic.
My mission is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals, couples, and families to explore their challenges, build resilience, and enhance their emotional well-being. My methods are strength-based and I meet people with where they are at. With a focus on empowerment and growth, I am committed to helping people navigate life's complexities with clarity and strength.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with love ones, scuba-diving, reading, hiking with my dog, baking, exercising, and watching football.

In the words of Maya Angelou, 'My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.'
